Bear Light Studios began with a love of lighting — and a belief that light has the power to transform a space, a home, and even a community.

With more than a decade of experience in theater, stage lighting, design, fabrication, and technical production, lighting has always been at the center of what we do. During COVID, we began creating large-scale lighting and skeleton displays in support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, bringing light, joy, and a little bit of magic to families throughout our community during a time when people needed it most.

Each year, the displays grew larger, more technical, and more ambitious. What began as a local passion project became an opportunity to combine our experience in lighting design, engineering, fabrication, and installation in entirely new ways.

In 2023, that experience led us into the rapidly growing world of permanent outdoor lighting — and we immediately saw both its incredible potential and the problems that still needed to be solved.

The lighting technology was exciting, but the installation systems surrounding it often were not. Visible wires, exposed connections, difficult mounting conditions, inconsistent finishes, and limited installation options created a major gap between what permanent lights could do and the clean, professional finished appearance homeowners and installers wanted.

So we began engineering our own patented track solutions for permanent soffit lighting.

Today, Bear Light Studios is a specialized manufacturer of aluminum permanent outdoor lighting track systems, mounting solutions, installation tools, and accessories for DIY homeowners and professional permanent lighting installers worldwide.

Our permanent lighting track systems are designed around real-world installations — from light spacing, airflow, wire management, and component protection to soffits, rooflines, corners, peaks, eaveless applications, and how the finished installation looks during the day when the lights are off.

We engineer every product to make permanent outdoor lighting installation simple and approachable enough for a DIY homeowner, while meeting the demands of professional installers who work with these systems every day.

What started with lighting one Florida community has grown far beyond anything we originally imagined.

Our systems are used by DIY homeowners, professional lighting companies, contractors, builders, and permanent lighting installers who want an installation that is easier to complete, better protected, visually cleaner, and built to become a lasting part of the home.
